Sorry for the loss of your friend Edd. . . . .but glad you are safe. . . .and getting so close to land. Every night I get on the Shoreway in Cleveland OH and look at all the snow on frozen Lake Erie and think of you and your incredible row. . . . I also check on you more than several times a day! You are one amazing woman and this has been an fabulors journey for all of us following you. . . . and now that you are close to land. . . .do you dream how nice it will be to sleep in a bed that is not rocking waves . . .perhaps by the time you return, you can even open a window and smell the fresh Srping air. . .Katie, keep rowing. . . we anxiously await your safe return to land and home!

May this Irish prayer be a blessing to you today:

May the road rise up to meet you,
May the wind be ever at your back,
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
And the rain fall softly on your fields,
And until we meet again, may God hold you in the hollow of His hand.

Yes, may the wind be ever at your back, may the sun shine warm upon your face and the rain fall softly...may God hold you in the hollow of His hand.

Hi Katie!
I hope you are not to lonley out there! I Can't believe that Edd was a little goner! But just curious are you sure it was him and not anotherfish that has no name? Where were the birds when the dolphins came? Maybe they could have saved you rDorado friend. Oh well I hope you make it close to your destinated spot without too much shifting into a whole new place!
Love,
Sophia S.

Katie, you continue to amaze! The qualities of your strength, courage, stamina, persistence and attitude are virtues that I am certain we all envy. Thank you again for allowing all of us to take part, even in a small way, in this fantastic adventure. I have mixed feelings about you almost arriving at your destination: There are feelings of great happiness that you will have accomplished your goal and will be safe on dry land but then we will miss the experience of following you, your photos and your engaging comments closely throughout your voyage.

Kate - The tragedy of Ed aside, it seems like you are making great headway. Best of luck getting with the final few days... I imagine it can get a little dicey navigating you're way around edges.
